Career Highlights

20^th year at Richard Childress Racing (RCR).

Named Vice President of Research and Development in 2006, charged with managing and developing all facets of RCR's expansive R&D program. Oversees RCR Engineering, Engine Production and Engine R&D, Manufacturing, Chassis R&D and Aerodynamics.

Named Vice President of Competition in 2004.

Named RCR's Director of Competition in 2001.

Named General Manager of RCR in 1998, charged with managing all facets of the racing operation, including personnel, drivers, NASCAR Cup Series and Busch Series teams, engine department, wind tunnel testing, aerodynamic program, and research and development.

Serves as the RCR liason for General Motors and Goodyear.

Crew member of the 1998 No. 3 GM Goodwrench team that won the Daytona 500.

Won the NASCAR Cup Series Championship with the No. 3 GM Goodwrench team in 1990, 1991, 1993 and 1994.

Served as the shop foreman for the No. 3 GM Goodwrench team from 1993 to 1999.

Member of the No. 3 GM Goodwrench teams that won 10 consecutive Twin 125s for the Daytona 500 (1990-99).

Won the Bud Shootout in 1991, 1993 and 1995.

Began racing go-karts at South Boston (VA) Speedway at the age of seven, went on to claim two state championships.

Hired at RCR on Jan. 1, 1989, as the team engineer.

Earned a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from North Carolina State University in 1982.
